The London Philharmonic Orchestra joins forces with the Royal Academy of Arts to celebrate Impressionism in music with an outdoor concert that complements the current RA exhibition 'From Paris: A Taste for Impressionism'. The concert, which is the first time a symphony orchestra has performed in the RA's courtyard, includes works by Ravel, Chausson, Duparc and Dukas. Soprano Danielle de Niese sings Duparc's 'Mélodies' and violinist Simone Lamsma performs Chausson's 'Poème', both under the baton of conductor Fabien Gabel. Tickets are available via a ballot system on the LPO's website.
