Richard Alston is somewhat of an elder statesman of British contemporary dance these days, and a master of the form. Rather than drastically changing his style over the years, he continues to delve ever deeper into what he does best, exploring the magical relationship between movement and music. This show features a revival of the exhilarating 'Roughcut', danced to Steve Reich's 'New York Counterpoint' and 'Electric Counterpoint', followed by a new piece, 'A Ceremony of Carols', danced to Benjamin Britten's music sung and played live by Canterbury Cathedral's choir and harpist Camilla Pay. You can also see Martin Lawrance's 'Lie of the Land'.
