Choreographer Amina Khayyam recreates Federico Garcia Lorca's play, 'Yerma', transposing it from rural nineteenth-century Spain to modern day inner-city Britain. It's the story of a childless woman whose desperation to become a mother leads to a horrific act. Khayyam's dance theatre piece is rooted in the north Indian classical language of kathak dance.
