This six-week long celebration of the sea and its harvest includes an exhibition documenting the history of Billingsgate fish market and lunchtime recitals with celebrity organists every Thursday. There are one-off events too, among them an opening concert by Herts Chamber Orchestra (Sun Sep 9) and a lecture on local history by Dr Catherine Ross of the Museum of London (Wed Oct 24). The Fish Harvest service – the traditional Billingsgate fish thanksgiving is one of the capital's more curious services, to which visitors and sightseers are welcome.
