Carnaby Christmas decorations – usually among the most distinctive in town –featuring sparkly holly leaf and berry garlands, along with three oversized mistletoe chandeliers, each housing 'berries' that change colour in co-ordination with music – the soundtrack includes the Ronette's 'I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus'. There is no switch-on ceremony, but the lights are on from 6.30pm on November 10. The lights will remain on display until January 3. To find Christmas lights all around London see

Thisis what Christmas is all about. Amazing and still the best. And keeps the spirit of christmas alive (i.e. not sponsored by a multinational corporation which is nice to see!!!!).

Stunning! They have cheered me up as they create a wonderful Christmassy atmosphere, which seemed to have been otherwise lacking this year.
