Colourscape Music Festival 2012
Courtesy of Colourscape
This huge inflatable labyrinth consists of almost 100 brightly coloured chambers radiating from a cathedral-like performance space. Visitors don coloured capes to wander around the one-acre space and at weekends musicians perform throughout the structure, providing an experience that is a fusion of colour and sound. Performances are: Renaissance Uprising (Sep 15); the Elysian String Quartet (Sep 16); improvised music with the Alison Blunt Ensemble (Sep 22); and Alice in Wonderland (Sep 23), a new commission for Colourscape in which visitors discover strange new musical creatures.

Every time I go I realise I've forgotten how intense this is! Walk through wonderful colour vistas listening to really great music. Absolutely not to be missed.

Colourscape is always absolutely marvellous - ideal for all the family, and this year's commission promises to be outstanding , with the gifted Stephen Barchan's new work on Alice in Wonderland, which has a cast containing some of the most brilliant young artists around.

I just didnt believe what I was seeing - and the kids were over the moon!
