Judas Priest, Dream Theatre, Slash, Queensryche, Black Country Communion, Jethro Tull, Spock's Beard, Thunder, Neal Morse. Taking top slot at High Voltage this year are the titans of the new wave of British heavy metal, JP (Jul 23), whose 1980 'British Steel' album remains an untouchable classic. The final night sees the Berklee-schooled, Long Island-based heavy metal virtuosi DT (Jul 24) venture to Victoria Park, led by impressive guitarist John Petrucci. Plus, Guns 'N' Roses guitar-shredder Slash will be performing on the main stage to thrash out prime cuts from his eponymous album, which has the likes of Dave Grohl, Ozzy Osbourne and Iggy Pop featured on it. But if none of those tickle your pickle, there will be an array of classic rock, prog and metal stages to choose from.
