Unlike its baby sister festival Southside, which is backed by the same promoters (VIVA) and occurs on the same weekend, with the same line-up, Hurricane hits its 14th birthday this year, boasting the the likes of rock titans the Foos, pop-punkers B182 and uplifting orchestral popsters AF appearing at its celebrations alongside infectious indie-disco trio FF, Balkan punk rockers GB and the ferociously talented Brit faves AM, who have honed their talents in everything from kitchen-sink alt.pop to grungey, textured, hard-driving rock.
