London Transport Mobile Canteen at Clerkenwell Design Week

London Transport mobile canteens once covered the capital, feeding thousands of transport workers in the 1940s and ’50s. Now, as part of Clerkenwell Design Week, the Canteen restaurant group and TfL have joined forces to recreate their own vintage version of London’s original purveyors of street food. Dishes are accordingly British, and include a bacon and onion pudding taken from the original London Transport cookbook. Free tastings and more substantial paid options are available throughout the day.
