Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (‘Inception’, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’) makes his directorial debut with this comical tale of a modern-day Don Juan. He also writes and stars, playing the role of Jon Martello, a philanderer sleeping his way through New Jersey’s most beautiful women – and fuelling his porn addiction in front of the computer. Despite conquests both real and virtual Jon feels empty, and fulfilment soon arrives in the form of two very different women, Barbara (Scarlet Johansson) and Esther (Julianne Moore). Can Jon overcome a media culture full of false fantasies to find true intimacy?
