If your social feeds are anything like ours, you’ll already know all about Doritos Loaded. It’s a full-blown casual gastro phenomenon based on one thing: topping your bag of Doritos with the most exciting and flavoursome street food from your city.

For those not in the know, let us bring you up to speed. Doritos Loaded lets you take your own bag of Doritos – it’s BYOD, if you will – to a participating restaurant, food truck or market stall. That bag is then ripped open, loaded with bold flavours (think Mexican shredded chicken, Korean chilli beef and BBQ pork belly) and served right back at ya – all starting from as little as £5.

The whole thing has been such a sensation that for 2026 Doritos Loaded has expanded from a week-long affair to an entire month. Even more excitingly, this year it’ll take place in more cities around the UK. London, Manchester and, vitally, Glasgow will be getting a piece of the action.

From May 23 to June 28 you’ll be able to get a mouthwatering bag of Doritos Loaded at a whole bunch of different food spots around Glasgow. Better yet, each one will have its own delicious flavour combos. Whether you’re a Glaswegian or just visiting the city during Doritos Loaded Month, here’s your guide to six of the most exciting spots you can BYOD – plus what they’re serving.

6 iconic Glasgow food spots taking part in Doritos Loaded Month

1. Alma Mexicana, Barras Market

Many of the places you can get epic, levelled-up bags of Doritos during the month are in the legendary Barras Market – an essential on the must-visit list of anyone visiting the city. One of the most exciting stalls taking part in Doritos Loaded Month? Authentic Mexican street food joint Alma Mexicana, beloved for its flavour-filled tacos. If you BYOD you’ll get your Doritos juiced up with chicken tinga – that is, shredded chicken in a spicy tomato sauce – as well as queso fresco (fresh cheese) and pico de gallo (a kind of fresh salsa with diced tomato, onion and peppers).

2. Smokey Trotters, Barras Market

Smokey Trotters is well used to serving up eye-wideningly epic plates: its massive burgers are a Barras marvel (of taste as well as gravity). For Doritos Loaded Month 2026, Smokey Trotters will switch from toppling sandos to topping Doritos, dishing up bags with Korean chilli beef, lime crema, spring onions, sesame seeds, pickled onions, cheddar and coriander. Expect plenty of flavour to savour from this kitchen on the London Road side of the Barras.

3. Monster Munchies, Barras Market

Combining Asian street food – often bao buns – with BBQ flavours (and with a banging rock soundtrack), it’s no wonder Monster Munchies has a cult-like fanbase. Find out exactly why the third Barras place in this list is so hyped during Doritos Loaded Month, when it’ll be enhancing your bag with katsu chicken and satay mayo.

4. Red Bus Bistro, Barras Market

You’ll no doubt already know Red Bus Bistro from Glasgow’s streets – the team mix top-notch food with whizzing around the city on an old red London Routemaster. At the Barras the bistro has just launched its first ever static bus, swapping bottomless brunches, afternoon teas and karaoke sessions for an all-new street food menu – and it’s taking part in Doritos Loaded Month. Head to the big red double-decker to have your Doritos decked out with Chinese pulled pork, drizzles of gochujang and soy sauce, plus crushed garlic.

5. Josie Pops Filipino Kitchen, Barras Market

Also at Barras Market is Josie Pops Filipino Kitchen. At her Barras outpost the former Britain’s Best Home Cook contestant is going all-out with her ‘Dinakdakan Doritos Supreme’: a feast of grilled BBQ pork belly topped with onions, chillies, creamy calamansi dressing, even more calamansi in the salsa (which also has tomato and mango) plus a drizzle of spiced coconut vinegar. How’s all that going to fit into a Doritos bag? You’ll have to visit and find out.
