Duck & Dry

King’s Road’s new blow-dry parlour screams young, west-London-meets-NYC glamma – think exposed brick walls, vast floral arrangements, model-worthy staff and even its own prosecco bar. But despite its swish set-up, Duck & Dry is committed to accessible pricing – a signature blow dry around the horseshoe-shaped blow bar is £25, or for an extra tenner you can get an updo thrown in.

Service is brisk and efficient, so if you're willing (or glad, as the case may be) to do without the holiday chit-chat and make do with the hi-energy chart hits blaring from the speakers you'll walk out within the hour with a glossy, Made in Chelsea-worthy mane, without the Made in Chelsea prices.

Terrible service. Booked an appointment for this morning at the Oxford Street location and received confirmation email. They did not honour appointment and blamed IT error. Very unhelpful and unprofessional, will not be returning.

I went to the new Oxford Circus branch for a blow-dry and really enjoyed the treatment. Cool decor and very friendly staff - the hair stylist did my hair exactly the way I requested. They offer lots of blow-dry styles and up-dos as well as prosecco and other drinks. A lovely treat I would highly recommend before a special occassion! It would also make a nice gift for a friend.
