An impressive wet room, great (if expensive) treatments and striking middle-Eastern statues make this one of central London’s most tranquil hotel spas. New to the spa this season are the indulgent Golden Caviar Facial and Cashmere and Silk Body wrap. Spa-goers are encouraged to lounge in the relaxation area post treatments as well as indulging in the sauna and steam chamber featuring fibre optic lights on the ceiling, to similate a night’s sky.

Unsatisfactory experience at this spa. I had asked for a Moroccan spa package including a massage but the receptionist insisted I had booked a 'Moroccan steam bath' which was a 'self treatment' i.e. covering myself with mud for £50. When I requested a massage as part of the larger package I was asked to wait 3 hours. When I refused she proceeded to blaim me for not being specific enough over the phone. Certainly never returning to this spa. The decor was unimpressive to say the least.
Really quite a nice spa. My friend and I went for a 'Treat for two' package. It was worth every penny. We really enjoyed every minute. We started with the turkish bath and the sauna, which were nice (but not spectacular). The Moroccan Steam Cleansing Ritual was a lot of fun to do together and the massage was very relaxing. Finishing with champagne and strawberries was just a nice final touch. Highly recommended.
DO NOT BUY MAYFAIR SPA GIFT VOUCHERS
I received a gift voucher for my birthday to use at the Mayfair spa. However, unfortunately, due to my father falling ill, and other engagements with work, I did not get around to booking the experience. I did not notice that it had an expiry date, as other gift vouchers I have had did not. I contacted the spa but they refused to book the experience. I contacted the management and explained the circumstances, I was hoping to redeem the experience in some other way, even swapping it for something of half the value. They did not care to look at my reasons and showed no compassion or interest to assist. They plainly refused to even look into the case. I was shocked to see such attitude, I myself am a manager and I could not believe such appalling level of customer care by the Mayfair hotel. I later on was embarrassed to discover that my partner paid £160 for this experience. I felt really upset for not being able to use the gift, but also for the way I was treated, as the hotel has long cashed the payment but did not care to offer any experience in returned. I felt robbed. I know that it is a 5 star hotel, but their spa does not compare in any way to a decent spa like Chelsea Harbour for example, where you can have a real spa experience for at least 1/2 of the price.
