Ace Hotel London

Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

You just have to peep inside Ace Hotel´s vast lobby-bar-coffee shop on pretty much any day or night of the week to see the place is a permanent hive of creative activity. It´s not just the free wifi and lattes from in-house cafe Bulldog Edition that provide the buzz – Ace is a destination in its own right, thanks to its prime location on the fringes of the City and the heart of Shoreditch (right by the fantastic shops of Redchurch Street), and its own inimitable brand of cool. Shoreditch High Street is the first European location for the uber-hip (and fast-growing) Ace chain, which started life in Portland, Oregon.

Who knew.... On a Saturday night the ace Hotel is the right place to be. With rnb hits and hip hop tunes this hotel lounge bar turns into a demi club where people are drinking and dancing the night away.

I came with friends and we enjoyed the atmosphere but finding enough seating for 2 people will prove tricky indeed!

The drinks are a little over priced and as it's large the small bar area has a wait but apart from that the music was good enough to return!

Absolutely stunning, cool trendy, edgy east london in an ideal location for getting to the city or enjoying the bars in Shoreditch. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Had a really great stay at this hotel on Friday. Came in a couple of days early to let them know I was proposing to my girlfriend and to see if they could help me with a few arrangements. They did help with everything superbly and also arranged for an upgraded room complimentary and 2 bottles of champagne to be sent up to the room. Really great stay and fantastic service. Thoroughly recommend!

I religiously frequent The Ace hotel bar for a late night tipple a perfect spot for the post dinner obligatory "One for the Road" Unfortunately these days Shoreditch is somewhat  of a minefield on a Saturday night, having to either queue after 11pm or be packed in a bar with thumping house music. The Ace is for you, if you want a decent late night cocktail, some civilised beats with no queues or hassle. You

will still need to navigate the cool and trendy people tapping away on their apple macs into the small hours (or just with no friends) never still quite sure which ;)

I'm a massive fan of the Ace: it's an uber hip hangout if you're looking to have drinks with friends or just want to tap into the free wifi while doing a bit of work  - and I love the fact that on the way down to the Miranda (their basement nightclub), you can see images of Grace Jones plastered all over the walls. Can't get cooler than that.

We came to the hotel for the acoustic east festival at Miranda. A fun evening showcasing some excellent new talent. It's a bit of a dreary venue but fine for what it is used for. The music was very edgy and we were entertained by an eclectic mix of different styles and cultures. Well worth a visit to see some stars of the future before they make it big!

I often come to the Ace Hotel to work in the lobby. It's such a great atmosphere with low-lighting, free wifi and great and friendly service from the bar staff. The food served by Hoi Polloi is amazing, favourites include mushrooms and ricotta on toast, dripping chips and their sandwiches. Open 24-hours it's a perfect place to get some reading, writing or freelance work done.
