Time Out says

A simple contemporary stop-off smack bang in the centre of the West End.

London is rapidly becoming a 24-hour city and Assembly London is a hotel made to match an equally 24-hour stay. Located on the street linking Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square, it couldn't be a better base for exploring Soho, Covent Garden and Chinatown. Staff are full of wisdom on London’s best kept secrets and are available around the clock via the hotel Whastapp account. New age or what?

Designed with a 'get up and go' mantra, rooms are pared back and simple, but far from basic. Think muted, clean colours, super comfy pillows, walk-in power showers, powerful air conditioning and iron-strength wifi. With pineapple etchings and splashes of pink on the walls, decor ticks all the millennial trend boxes – but the bondage bunny sculptures, complete with suggestive leather collars add a surprisingly fun touch. Rooms come in four sizes: Snug (perfect for one, or an inseparable couple), Nest, Pad or Den, which is Assembly’s roomiest room, complete with killer views of the city. Special mention goes to the spectacular soundproofing, which makes you think you’re sleeping in a remote hamlet, rather than just off the hedonistic Leicester Square.

Look out for the Assembly London’s rooftop, which opens this summer and offers one of the finest views of the city. Offering the sort of 360-degree vista available at few hotels, let alone landmarks, it will make the perfect spot to unwind with a cocktail in hand, drinking in the sights from the wraparound balcony or plush leather banquettes.
