Family Day: Abstract Art

Artist Laura X Carle leads this family-friendly art session to accompany the 'Adventures of the Black Square: Abstract Art and Society 1915-2015' exhibition. Create abstract accessories using crafty materials to wear as you explore the show, investigate the way shapes fit together by making your own addition to a giant abstract sculpture and use wooden sticks, paint and scrap materials to make mini sculptures to take home. There will also be free admission to the exhibition for families and a new trail to help younger visitors navigate the gallery.
