Fencing Classes for Children

Taking place at the London Fencing Club situated within the gym of the Central Foundation Boys' School, these classes are suitable for both total beginners and those with a little basic fencing knowledge. Lessons are taught by experienced coaches and include plenty of games to improve speed and co-ordination and to develop specific fencing skills and tactical thinking. Kids will learn fencing bladework and footwork, the rules of courtesy during a fencing bout and all about refereeing skills. All equipment is provided and the price includes five weekly classes starting on either Monday January 12 (seven to ten year-olds) or Thursday January 15 (11-13 year-olds). The school also runs classes for adults and more advanced fencers can potentially represent their club, school, borough or country in competitions.
