John Betjeman Poetry Competition for Young People 2012

Children aged 10-13 are invited to enter poems on the theme of 'place' to the annual John Betjeman Poetry Competition. A strong line-up of prizes includes a first prize of £1,000 (shared equally between the winner and his or her school's English department), poet visits to the winning school, Eurostar tickets and book tokens. Closing date is 31 July, and entry forms can be found online.
