Space Weather at the South Pole

While you might not be able to get to the Antarctic over the Easter holidays, you can get a good sense of what going there is like from this three-day holiday event. Members of the University of Bath's Invert group have undertaken a number of trips to the South Pole to study weather patterns, and here they share their experiences and offer visitors close-up looks at the tents, equipment, clothing and GPS system they use. There'll be a chance to try on clothing designed for Antarctic conditions too.
