The Polka's monthly storytelling events with free ice cream courtesy of Criterion ices are so popular that a ballot system has been introduced. If you would like tickets for one of the spoken-word events, which take place on the first Saturday of every month (currently until July 2), email storytelling@polkatheatre.com by 5pm Feb 21 with your name, address, the day you would like to attend and the number of tickets (up to four per family). Successful applicants will be notified by email or post by Feb 28. A toy exchange will also operate at the sessions – take in any unwanted toys in good condition and swap them for other ones.
