The Coca-Cola London Eye is slowly turning, the Thames is flowing by, there are
young families taking snaps outside the Sea Life London Aquarium and some particularly grisly geezers beckoning people towards the grand entrance of The London Dungeon. But hang on, what’s that smell? Is it the distinctive odour of swamp floating on the breeze? And can you hear the distant Scottish bellowing of a large green ogre? Yep, it sounds like Shrek has taken up residence somewhere deep inside County Hall.

All aboard the DreamWorks tour

In an entirely fresh adventure, with brand new DreamWorks animation, state of the art 3D projections and live-action costumed characters, Shrek’s Adventure! London is a fully immersive family attraction with all the highs and lows, laughs, twists and turns of a classic fairy tale that you get to step right into.

Of course, in Shrek’s world, there’s no such thing as a ‘classic’ fairy tale, where your average prince kisses a princess and everything’s hunky dory ever after. So when you’re invited by Princess Fiona to board the bus for a fabulous DreamWorks tour, it’s no surprise that things kind of start to go wrong from the start.

With Donkey in the driving seat, you get the feeling the 4D magic bus ride you’re about to take isn’t going to be your average Zone 1 trip. On
a breathtaking journey to Far Far Away, you’re treated to a sensory spectacular that lulls you into a false sense of security. Maybe Donkey does know where he’s going! But then a crash landing takes out one of Rumpelstiltskin’s wicked witches and all hell breaks loose.

Lost in the swamp

Clearly, satnav doesn’t cover the virtual world, and as you stumble out of your seats you find yourselves in a swamp. But then ‘Beware of the ogre’ signs hint this is somewhere familiar, somewhere you might have seen before. All at once, as you feel the squelchy path beneath your feet, you’re no longer just watching the action, you are the action!

We don’t want to spoil the experience for you, or rob you of the thrill of watching fellow adventurers big and small jump, laugh, gasp and get completely carried away on a mission which involves having to seek out three magic tokens to find your way back home.

Your task won’t be easy, and
it’ll involve charming Doris the barmaid, seeking knowledge from Esmeralda’s crystal ball, meeting Puss in Boots, singing with Donkey, trying to save Pinocchio from the Wheel of Torture, finding a way out of the Mirror Maze and following Gingy the Gingerbread Man to meet the Muffin Man on Drury Lane, all so you can locate the Magic Portal. But will your fast-paced walk-and-ride escapade get you home?

With a little help from Donkey and Princess Fiona, and glimpses of Shrek on your journey, every visitor from the wide-eyed six-year-olds to mums and dads will have to work together to set the fairy tale back on track. But don’t forget that throughout you’re being pursued by Rumpelstiltskin and his witches!

Walking in a Shrek wonderland

The fabulous 360-degree sets could be straight off a movie shoot. Feel your way through the Spooky Forest and hold on tight as you negotiate the Rickety Bridge. Venture into
the Poison Apple Pub – hardly
your friendly local but wonderfully atmospheric all the same.
The cutting-edge projection and deftly choreographed episodes of your journey complete the evocative joy of this actor-led experience, making Shrek’s Adventure! London colourful, exciting and unique.

A DreamWorks Tour first, the visit also celebrates movie favourites ‘Madagascar’, ‘Kung
Fu Panda’ and ‘How to Train Your Dragon’. There’s a chance to party in the DreamWorks worlds of Berk, the Valley of Peace and the travelling circus of Madagascar. Get your cameras at the ready as you balance plates with Mr Ping, fire from a cannon with Marty and learn how to be a Viking!

An incredible escape to another world, and you don’t even need your passports for the trip.
