Time Out says

Special benefit reading of a powerful new play by Ugandan writer Judy Adong about the harsh anti-homosexuality laws that divide her country. Called the 'kill the gays' laws, Uganda's pending legislation mandates life in prison – and even death – for certain homosexual acts. Uganda is not unique: around the world, there are 78 countries in which being gay is a crime. In 5 of these, death is the ultimate penalty. The charity partner of the event is Kaleidoscope Trust which is a UK based organisation working internationally to end persecution to LGBT communities. Funds from the event will be directed at projects and campaigns which aim to effect legal and social change for at-risk LGBT communities worldwide.
