This public art project initiated by the Photographers' Gallery brings together 204 photographic portraits of Londoners, each originating from one of the nations competing at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The photographic works, which will be exhibited as large-scale posters in Victoria Park and on the façade of Park House, 453-497 Oxford Street, W1 (until August 30), are by established and emerging artists and photographers including Faisal Abdu'Allah, Dryden Goodwin, Tom Hunter, Rankin, Martin Parr, Mary McCartney and Tom Wood. Londoners of all ages and from all walks of life are featured in images that were commissioned during the past three years. Representing Great Britain is a portrait of the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen, taken by the American-born photographer Andres Serrano in February 2009.
