World Pride 2012 Gala Dinner

Pride London marks the launch of its international LGBT 'Solidarity Fund' with a fundraising dinner. Tonight's event will begin with a cocktail reception, before a lavish three-course meal interspersed with entertainment and guest speakers from the LGBT world. The evening will feature a silent auction, lively choir the Pink Singers,a professional dance troupe and DJ Dennis Da Silva. A number of prominent guest speakers will also be in attendance, and singer Joe McElderry will be performing. Pride will also be presenting two awards on the night. The World LGBT Award is for a person (or organisation) who've made an exceptional contribution to the global LGBT movement. This year one of the recipients will be the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, who has formally stated that she is honoured to have opportunity to accept this award. The other recipient is ILGA (the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association).
