Found on the campus of Goldsmiths University, don’t be surprised if you see painfully cool students dressed artfully in charity shop garms wondering the halls of this free gallery. Designed by Turner Prize-winning architecture collective Assemble and opened in 2018, this gallery in a grade II-listed former Victorian bathhouse seems hellbent on ignoring all the usual art conventions and putting on whatever challenging shows it bloody wants. Which is a really, really good thing. Make sure to check out work of the gallery’s residents in the John Garcia Family Foundation Gallery – it’s a programme that welcomes community and student groups to create art at the CCA.
