Part of the Shubbak festival of contemporary Arab culture (www.london.gov.uk/shubbak), this display features shortlisted artists and designers for the Jameel Prize, which recognises work inspired by Islamic art, craft and design traditions and was won this year by Rachid Koraichi for a selection of cloth banners from a series called 'Les Maitres Invisibles' (2008). Displays include Noor Ali Chagani's 'Life Line' (2010) and 'Infinity' (2009), sculptural works made from miniature terracotta bricks that translate the artist's training in the principles of Mughal miniature painting into sculpture, and works in the traditional Iranian craft of felt-making by Bita Ghezelayagh. The winner is announced on Sep 12.
