A cracking one-day mini-festival in Shepherd’s Bush.

Compared to the rest of the city, the west London music scene sucks… right? Not necessarily – check out this nifty one-day festival, spread across five Shepherd's Bush venues that (unless you're a local) you've probably never been to. Break out of the north/east London rut and give it a go.

Had an amazing time at Bushstock this year, it's a brilliant one day festival split across eight venues in Shepherd's Bush. From a hotel courtyard, to a charity shop, a church and a couple of pubs thrown in for good measure - the array of venues means the spaces are just as good as the music.

I only knew a few of the bands performing, so I checked out the Spotify playlist before heading down to work out my schedule for the day. Really enjoyed watching the upcoming artists as much as the more established acts.

The only downside of the day was missing a couple of bands due to venues being at capacity, St Stephen's Church being the main culprit. And when we did finally get in it was unbearably hot because they had to close the windows and doors to minimise disturbing the neighbours.

Highly recommend, at £30 a ticket, with some sun, ciders and music, it's the perfect way to spend a Saturday.
