This Norwegian boutique festival is set on the historic site where Oslo was founded a thousand years ago. There's your history lesson, now you can enjoy the music from an eclectic and ace lineup traversing arty rock, hip hop, pop and electronica. It's in a beautiful spot just ten minutes walk from Oslo's main train station and is one of the greenest around, serving organic local food and minimising its impact in every way possible. Beck and Florence and the Machine are two of the big-hitters, but there are plenty of varied sounds to suit all tastes. Rocking out with a conscience can be fun, see?
