A hedonistic woodland wonderland in Cambridgeshire full of bands, DJs and cool installations
Jungle, The Cat Empire, Caravan Palace, Public Service Broadcasting, Angus & Julia Stone, Kate Tempest, Temples, Marika Hackman, Jack Garratt, Bernhoft, Palma Violets, Bears Den, Say Lou Lou, Ibeyi, Menace Beach, Roots Manuva and more.
Woodland fairytale, hippy hedonism, boutique chic, forest rave: Secret Garden Party has a lot going on, and pulls it off rather spectacularly. There's plenty of wide-ranging music to be heard, with various party-starting bands and hip DJs playing in treehouses and on islands, but (as with Glasto) the point of SGP is the galaxies of fun to be had elsewhere around the vast site. Workshops, theatre, installations and 'action camps' (thankfully nothing like boot camps or fat camps) are all part of the weekend, though you'll forget most of it anyway, such is the festival's rep for debauchery.
