The annual two-day dance workout returns, this time moving to the arena-like Brixton Academy. The line-up is a heady mix of legends (Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson), up-and-comers (Krystal Klear, Lapalux) and those with an established track record (Booka Shade, James Zabiela). There's a fair bit of heavy, bassy house and deep Detroit techno going on. If beats are your thing and you want some festival action but can't be bothered with camping or shelling out for a plane ticket abroad, The Playground could well be your local London hero.
