Drummer and jazz history buff Richard Pite leads this whirlwind 'reduced' look at the last century of jazz – starting out with the ragtime of Scott Joplin, progressing through swing, bebop, modal and ending up in Weather Report-style fusion. The band helping faithfully recreate the highlights of each era includes Pete Long (clarinet, saxophones, flute, piccolo, trumpet) and Enrico Tomasso (trumpet, trombone, vocals).
