There aren't many artists who can hold our attention for eight straight hours, but it's a fairly safe bet that acid house icon A Guy Called Gerald is one of them. Embodying the sound of Chicago via way of Manchester and the acid house scene, Gerald – both on his own and via 808 State – effortlessly crafted various timeless house anthems, including 'Voodoo Ray' and 'Pacific State', along the way helping to shape the future sound of UK house. His years haven't softened him either, and both his current acid-infused tracks and his acid tongue are as sharp as ever. You might not hear those classic tracks tonight (then again, you might), but whatever you do hear will be relayed by the hands of a true master, who's still got as much attitude today as he did 25 years ago.
