Andrei Gavrilov plays Chopin in Highgate


The distinguished Russian pianist Andrei Gavrilov presents nine Chopin Nocturnes: in B minor, Op 9 No 1; in D flat, Op 27 No 2; in C sharp minor, Op KK Vl a No 16 posth; in F sharp, Op 15 No 2; in B, Op 32 No 1; in F, Op 15 No 1; in F minor, Op 55 No 1; in A flat, Op 32 No 2; and in C minor, Op 48 No 1. Plus, Prokofiev's Sonata No 8 in B flat.

(This is Gavrilov's first visit to London in over a decade. His last appearances were at the Wigmore Hall and Festival Hall. Here, he can be heard in the intimate surroundings of the bijou Red Hedgehog.)
