Anna Meredith's 'HandsFree'

Anna Meredith's 'HandsFree' showcases the National Youth Orchestra performing without instruments. The piece reveals the talented teenagers's virtuosity through beat boxing, singing, body percussion and clapping. (This performance is accompanied by a workshop inspired by the piece, bringing together the Orchestra's young musicians with dance company U.Dance Ensemble. You can also catch two further outdoor performances of HandsFree on the Festival Riverside, Queen's Walk, at 2.40pm and 5.30pm.)
