Antony Hegarty brings his avant-folk outfit, his unique vocals and the Britten Sinfonia to the Royal Opera House for a performance of light and music. Having already won crowds over with 'Swanlights' at Radio City Music Hall in NYC and Hamer Hall in Melbourne, the outfit present the show in our capital. At an hour and 20 minutes (no interval) 'Swanlights' is, in its simplest form, a collection of lasers, layered screen projections, bright complimentary colours and abstract foil shapes soundtracked by songs from the AATJ back catalogue with accompaniment by the BS. But really it's so much more; ethreal, surreal and beautifully entertaining.
