For one day this April, a suburban park next to a motorway in Bristol will sprout a series of geodesic domes and marquees, full of beats and low frequencies. A new festival devoted to plunging an audience into a new audiovisual dimension, Arc is a collaboration between the Hypercolour and Applepips labels and the 'digital experience agency' Luma. They've created site-specific visual shows for the headliners, who include Martyn, James Holden and The Black Dog. Other up-and-comers – look out for Flies + Flies, Typesun and Nathan Fake – will perform AV sets. Best of all, since the whole festival is housed in a series of 'Recursive Function Immersive Domes' and lasts only a day, there's no chance that the West Country's occasional April showers could dampen the party spirit.
