The Roundhouse's Studio Theatre will be decked out in tent material made by Saharawi refugee women for this launch of Studio-Live, an initiative aimed at galvanising the UK music bods to help build a Saharawi music industry from scratch in Algerian refugee camps. In the headline slot, the brilliant vocalist Brahim, a Saharawi from Western Sahara, fuses Latin rhythms, Afro-beat and desert blues in her politically and socially conscious music. In support, everything from Gambian kora playing to Celtic violinists, plus spoken word acts.
