Like the director's cut of a cult film, Oxford baroque present the original Magnificat in it's early E-flat version. Following thorough research into contemporary liturgy this is a chance to embrace the work as it was intended - a liturgy for Christmas Day Vespers of 1723. The programme also includes a few cantatas and chorales, you know, cos it's Christmas.
