The Clash under the Westway, 1977
The surviving members of the seminal London punk band have put together this pop-up exhibition and shop to coincide with the release of the group's new compilation and box set. Archive items on display include boiler suits, guitars (including the bass that Paul Simonon was pictured smashing on the cover of 'London Calling'), gold discs, lyrics manuscripts. There'll also be original Clash-centric art, film and videos and limited edition merch for sale.

Some will will talk of the Clash in the past tense, for me, they are and always have been "the only band that matters", the visit to the exhibition proved this, the clothes, photographs, notes, instruments still proved to a man of 50, that genius never goes away and the fire still burns. Now we're was I ........oh yeah........1......2.......3.......4.......well, i just got back an' i wish i never leave now (where'd you go?)

Guitars, broken guitars....leather, sweat, blood and poetry... I loved so much the clash and this memory tour is an important piece of my london's tour Thanks to all Happy happy

Absolutely incredible, and well worth a visit to see the original London Calling smashed guitar...Joes handwritten lyrics, band clothes, vintage original tour posters...and a brilliant shop! Exhibition is free too, a real soho gem for music lovers.
