Formed in 2012, the Sensational Space Shifters are the current blues-rock vehicle for the enormous lungs of former Led Zeppelin frontman Plant. Although they absorb West African and Bristol trip-hop influences along the way, the band are rooted in the blues and are almost as heavy as the Zep in their prime. They're also fond of cracking out plenty of Zep classics: past set lists have included 'Whole Lotta Love', 'Black Dog', 'Rock and Roll' and more. Plant and his Shifters rock the Albert Hall tonight as Bluesfest headliners.
