Australian saxophonist Allen plays emphatic hard bop and funk. He's helped out by keys man Robin Aspland and house band Just East – Jeremy Shoham's crafty fusion of jazz mixed with and inspired by Jewish Klezmer music, along with Balkan and Eastern melodies.
