Branching off from the hyper-successful Record Store Day, this global celebration of the humble tape is marked in London by a live event at the Rough Trade East record shop. There'll be a cassette playback of the new Omar Souleyman record, a set by BBC DJ Jen Long (hopefully using a retro tape deck), and live appearances by synth-pop singer-songwriter Bright Light Bright Light and old-school indie-pop band The Proper Ornaments.
