The venue formerly known as Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen has been given a vibrant new look and a new, more varied entertainment programme. Long-running R&B and hip hop night Supa Dupa Fly now has a regular Friday night residency, and LGBTQ+ collectives including Hungama and Pxssy Palace will also be hosting club nights in the the 300-capacity gig space. Colours Hoxton has been created in collaboration with two of East London’s best live music venues, Village Underground and EartH, so you can expect intimate live shows from rising stars working in genres ranging from nu jazz and soul to hip hop and electro-pop.

A great place to meet on a Friday night, or begin a Saturday out in Shoreditch (entry is free before 10pm). Stay for a few drinks, or dance all night to live DJ's. Look out for the events that Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen host throughout the week.

I went to Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen last week end for a fantastic Halloween party they organised.

For £5 only, you had access to a screening of Beetlejuice and the disco party afterwards.

Drinks price are pretty normal for this kind of place (£8 for a double Gin and Tonic) and the fantastic thing is that the queue for the toilets remains decent throughout the night!!

Actually the second wonderful thing is that the air con was on in the dancing room! I still cannot believe that my Halloween full on make up stayed on my face for the whole night...

I'll definitely go back to one of their organised parties!

Some of my best evenings in Shoreditch were in the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen.

The place is pretty quiet during the week, but get totally crazy Friday and Saturday nights with some really good (sometimes less good depending of your tastes) lives music.

Outside the concert room, we lack a bit of place to move unfortunately.

Entrance is free before a certain time of the night, so check it out J

The best place to grab your Friday night margaritas! With a happy hour almost every night of the week and its great location in the heart of Shoreditch, this quirky little venue will not let you down for a great night out!

It's a great venue with superb friendly staff and loads of great gigs. I absolutely love it.

I love going here for the live music, its got the best sound I London. Its great for after work drinks too, really friendly staff

I discovered this place by a lucky accident and it has been on the top of my 'East London restaurants to go to' list ever since! Pleasant atmosphere, friendly and polite staff and delicious food - what more can you ask for? Oh, and they have life music events, which I am yet to catch, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed!

A great combination of bar, restaurant and music venue all under one roof. Get there early and you can finish your pizza before the first band comes on stage.

This is such a great and consistent party venue! Can't say I love the food, but as a bar and a club this place is brilliant. They always have interesting gigs on, after which they usually have a DJ play until 2 am. It is a great place to go if you want a good night out but don't want to go to an actual club. It is low-key and relaxed, yet I have had great parties here. The DJ's are pretty damn good, which makes the Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen one of those places where you just dance and dance until you get kicked out at closing time. If you don't have anything planned for this weekend yet, go and check out Magnus this Saturday - the concert promises to be amazing!

Great little music venue, spacey and airy with reasonably priced drinks to boot. I saw Aurora here and it was a great setting, they hadn't packed us even, leaving us with ample viewing space. Ideally located to grab a pre-drink and bite to eat from the many surrounding bars and restaurants.

I really like this place. Here are the reasons why:

1. The door staff are legends- just really nice people, even when dealing with wasters. I don't know why but that stands out to me.
2. It's unpretentious (unlike some of its hipster neighbours). They play whatever music they fancy on any given day. You could be experiencing old school hip hop or funk or dance. Whatever it is, it's generally good.
3. There's a secret back room dance floor. This is imperative when combined with cocktails.
4. Everyone is just having a f*cking good time in there.

Small downsides, I'd love for it to stay open later (I think it closes at 1.30ish), I wanted to stay until at least 4am.... (I know, party animal).  Also in the dance floor area it's hotter than a sauna- jeans are a no go....

love this place, the food is delicious,You choose what type of food you want, burrito, enchilladas, even the salads looks great. They have a good cocktail menu with some original cocktails (oh my god!!) the staff is excellent, overall the place is a treat.
