At 9.45am Meet at Ealing Broadway Station to take the train to Hanwell Station; or 10.15am : Alternative meeting point at Hanwell Station.
The walk will be led by David Blackwell, local Hanwell historian, and Terry Sanderson, member of the Delius Society and longstanding Ealing resident. The route will take us to a beautifully preserved area of country-side with a thatched cottage near Cuckoo Lane, to historic buildings such as Brunel's Wharncliffe Viaduct and the Old Police Station, and to the site where William E Hill made violins.
Highlight of the walk is seeing the house where Delius stayed in 1892.
The walk finishes with refreshments at St Mellitus Church between midday and 12.30pm.
