Legendary (self-taught) keyboardist and arranger famed for his eclectic fusion of soul, funk, R&B, jazz and Brazilian music, which reached it's pinnacle on his two early '70s CTI albums and his proto-Disco club version of the theme from '2001: A Space Odyssey'.
