Candidates conduct the the London Symphony Orchestra in
Weber's Overture to 'Der Freischütz' (performed by each candidate); Debussy's 'La Mer'; and Prokofiev's 'Romeo and Juliet Suite'. (The winner becomes LSO assistant conductor for the forthcoming year. The competition takes place in front of an esteemed panel, including Sir Colin Davis, Sir Antonio Pappano, Mauro Bucarelli, Nikolaj Znaider, Imogen Cooper, Lennox Mackenzie, Christine Pendrill and Andrew Marriner.)
