Eddie Henderson

Famously converting from full-time physician to trumpeter under Miles's encouragement, Henderson's best known for work with Herbie Hancock (including the now-iconic 'Mwandishi' sextet), and with Joe Henderson and Art Blakey. He's since mellowed from his fusion days into a pleasantly rough-edged straightahead player. He's joined here by a top notch UK trio that includes pianist Tim Lapthorn and bassist Arnie Somogyi, on the second of two nights.
