The Detroit rap legend becomes the first ever MC to headline Wembley Stadium tonight. It's a crowning achievement in what's been an astonishing career, from the sadistic hi-jinks of 'The Slim Shady LP' to the multi-platinum success of 'The Marshall Mathers LP' and 'The Eminem Show', to that bit in the late noughties where he got all angsty and lame before bouncing back last year with 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2'. Sure, he's had his dodgy patches, but Em's still one of the most talented and mercurial MCs around and this (admittedly pricey) megashow should be one hell of a spectacle. Support comes from LA skate-rap collective OFWGKTA – a clever booking, since between them star members Tyler The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt cover the same bases (brash, introspective, vengeful, shocking, puerile…) as Em in his prime.
