Just when you thought things couldn't get any twee-er than the Best Coasts and Camera Obscuras of the music industry, London's brittle alt.folk beauty ETG teams up with Wheeler, the frontman of Downpatrick's indie power-poppers Ash, to create a Christmas record. Comprised of nine original tracks and a Phil Spector cover, 'This is Christmas', will be released on Nov 21 and even features Bloc Party's Matt Tong on drums. If the teaser track, 'Christmas Day (I Wish I Was Surfing)', on their Facebook page is anything to go by, you can expect the album to sound a lot like The Beach Boys with subtly sweet girly harmonies.
