Time Out says

BBC Concert Orchestra under Keith Lockhart, with Marie Angel (soprano), singer Kate Winter vocals. The presenter is Christopher Cook.

The BBC Concert Orchestra runs the gamut from torment to joy with Michael Torke's 'Ecstatic orange'; Arnold Schoenberg's 'Verklärte Nacht'; Michael Nyman's 'Eight Lust Songs'; and Pet Shop Boys's 'I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing' arr Richard Niles.

New York composer Michael Torke maxes out minimalism in his 'Ecstatic Orange'. In Arnold Schoenberg's 'Transfigured Night' we're plunged into a totally different ecstasy, inspired by Richard Dehmel's poem in which star-crossed lovers experience a moment of incandescent bliss. Michael Nyman's lustful songs 'I Sonetti Lussuriosi' are set to the pornographic poems of Pietro Aretino. And, finally, an arangement of the Pet Shop Boys' dance hit 'I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing', in which singer Neil Tennant expressed the desire to 'take all my clothes off and dance to "The Rite of Spring".'

(Suitable for audiences aged 18 and over, and is broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.)
